Innovative initiative showcasing workshop held by ICT department
A day-long workshop was held on the digital platform on the occasion of showcasing the innovative initiatives of the departments under its Information and Communication Technology Department.
On Tuesday, NM Ziaul Alam, Senior Secretary, Department of Information and Communication Technology, joined the digital platform as the chief guest and officially inaugurated the workshop.
Hosne Ara Begum, Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, Parthapratim Dev, Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council, ABM Arshad Hossain, Director General of Information and Communication Technology Department, Director General of Digital Security Agency, Additional Secretary of Technology Dr. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh and Deputy Secretary of Cabinet Touhidul Islam delivered their speeches in the workshop.
Institutions under ICT department showcased good innovative initiatives at the event. The best innovation will be selected and published by the evaluation committee for further verification and selection.
Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function, NM Ziaul Alam, Senior Secretary, Department of Information and Communication Technology, said, “The officials of our ICT department and its subordinate departments have come up with many new innovative initiatives in the exhibition. He also mentioned various initiatives including Corona Registration System website "Surokkha", Zoom's alternative digital platform "Boithok" and digital platform "Kemps" for humanitarian assistance to the Hon'ble Prime Minister.
Noting that the innovation activities have been institutionalized and are being expanded under the supervision of the Cabinet Department, he said the workshop would further inspire innovative showcasing practices and accelerate service-friendly activities.
He later inaugurated the workshop.
